These are just some of the many, many sites I have designed and produced, or just produced over the years. I started in 1997, tapping out sites in pure html in a text programme. The Mechanical Music site demonstrates the strengths and pitfalls of maintaining a site by a client using Adobe Contribute. The advantage is of course instant updates and not having to pay me to maintain it! The disadvantage is that layout errors start to creep in. It's up to the client. Most are too confident in their abilities - this is naturally engendered by the sellers of web design software - it's in their interests to sell as many licences as possible. However, there's no substitute for experience.
